God's Wonderful Word

Still on Proverbs, I am coming across some awesome gems. Let me share...

“He who despises the word will be destroyed, but he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.” — Proverbs 13:13 (NKJV)

God never intended His Word to be something we turn to only in times of crisis or when it's convenient. He invites us to trust Him with all our heart and acknowledge Him in every area of our lives.

Walking in His will isn't an occasional thing we do—it's a daily lifestyle of faith, obedience, and dependence on Him ... a relationship!

When we choose to ignore God's instruction, we miss out on His wisdom and direction. As Proverbs 19:16 reminds us, “He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul.”

The greatest danger isn't only physical consequences, but a spiritual death that comes when we stop listening to His voice.

Proverbs 19:27 warns that when we cease listening to instruction, we begin to stray from His Words of knowledge. And how true is that when we will ourselves with things of this world and not of God!

Today, let's choose to stay close to God's Word. As we read it, believe it, and obey it, He faithfully guides our steps, strengthens our faith, and leads us into the life He has prepared for us.
